# Tracking Flare Position

The Optical Flares position can be animated manually or linked directly to your scene tracking data. This tip works with additional 2D Flares as well.<br>

1. Track footage with a tracking node&#x20;
2. Select the animation menu on the Position XY parameter for Optical Flares&#x20;
3. Choose “Link to” and select the tracker number.
