# Fog

Fog adds depth to large scenes and creates unique lighting effects. You can control the Start Distance of the Fog and the Range to control the falloff. You can also have a negative Start Distance and Range to create interesting lighting effects.

**Enable Fog**\
Turn on Fog by checking the Enable Fog checkbox.\
\
**Color**\
Stylize the color of the fog with the popup color box or by using the color picker.\
\
**Opacity**\
Adjust  the transparency of the fog  from 0% to 100%.\
\
**Start Distance**\
Adjusts the Fog start in Z space.\
\
**Range**\
Adjusts the falloff or edge feather of the fog.\
\
**Falloff Type:**

* **Linear**\
  Continues to increase falloff at the same rate.
* **Exponential**\
  Increases falloff at an expanding rate.
* **Taper**\
  Create a thinner fog radius for a scan-like look.
